Inspired by the gentle flicker of firelight in a storyteller’s hearth, Seanchai Ember (pronounced Shannakey) is a soulful new fragrance by Rathbornes ~ Ireland’s oldest candle makers. We were honoured to share this brand-new winter scent with our MyIrelandBox community before anyone else.
This luxurious, hand-poured candle opens with pink pepper and pear, blooming into notes of magnolia and rose, before settling into a comforting base of roasted coffee, cedarwood, ambergris and patchouli. It’s the scent of quiet evenings, shared stories, and glowing embers ~ a modern ode to Ireland’s ancient tradition of the seanchai, the storyteller.
Crafted in Dublin using a blend of 100% natural, sustainable, palm oil-free waxes and beeswax, Seanchai Ember is as kind to the earth as it is indulgent for the senses.
